You need to perform your work. That poem just made me smile. I think it'd do that for an audience as well. It's really just passionate, great work. Brava to you!
I agree with Climb2Nowhere...Do you perform your work?
I love the introspection and self analaysis in this poem. We think and think and think and it never sounds, reads, looks as beautful as what you have created!
everyone calculate everything, but we turn big issues into small manners, turn small manners into nothing that really matters...that's how we live, love, and laugh....
love your reflections. divine work in art and poetry.
it is the mindset that chose to remain faithful to its own kind and there is nothing wrong with that but i know you are intellectually restrained enough not to prevent others from being attracted to what they see and feel.. nice poem!
Outstanding piece, 3 things come to mind, one you pointed out the obvious superficial nature of people who lack the ability to see past hue. Two your method of delivery with the opposing sides white and black that was brillant and three perfect title "Maybe" This poem is an award winner in my book.
First, it's creative, original, and just perfect the way you've cascaded the poem with stanzas along side one another on white and black columns. Enhances the message. Wonderful.
Second: I enjoyed the cadence of the poem as it addresses mental/emtional dualities, contradictions. Very fine. Very honest.
Das, What Intricacy with words.. the project, even better..!! We all are full of contradictions and yet scared to acknowledge those; much less agree with.. And that too- we are scared.. Just leading our lives in monotonous manner.. breathing and sulking..
That is a very good pair of musings that you've got on you. I have the same musings and also I muse in terms of fantasy. Wanna see my site? It's at http://thelunaticsdiary.blogspot.com
Very Creative and well written. I enjoy the comparisons of black and white and interracial relationship along with the background color of black and white. Why can't we all be color blind? Well done in writing this great piece.

ReplyDeleteYou wrapped an interracial relationship into a very tight package that covers so much. I love it. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI like how you question your own perception and partiality in this poem. Maybe that's all their is to love after all, and all there needs to be..

We are too complex not to look for the grey that exists between the black and white rules we set ourselves in life. Nothing exists without a struggle.
ReplyDeleteTough poem.....has a distinctive rhythm...and deliverance.
ReplyDeleteMindful, too.
